A man with no driver’s license led Snoqualmie Police in a pursuit that ended around 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26, at 384th Avenue and Meadowbrook Way, near Snoqualmie. Multiple officers from Snoqualmie and North Bend assisted in his detainment.

The pursuit began around 7:36 p.m. after a patrolling officer signalled a blue Toyota Camry, to pull over, since the registered owner, who matched the driver’s physical description, had no license. The car had slowed as if to stop, then turned west onto Meadowbrook Way. The officer followed and advised dispatch that the suspect was failing to comply with his order to stop.

The vehicle eventually stopped, but immediately drove off after the officer left his patrol car to approach the Camry. Dispatch was notified and when the vehicle stopped again, another Snoqualmie officer and several King County Sheriff’s Deputies were on scene to detain the driver and passenger and remove them from the vehicle.

The driver was the registered owner, identified only by a Washington ID card. He said he had no license, and police cited him for driving without a valid license. Both he and the passenger were released to walk home, and the vehicle was removed by Snoqualmie Valley Towing.
