Construction on a new pediatric therapy and early learning center will begin on June 29 after more than three years.
The center is being built for Encompass. It will be built on the corner of 384th Ave SE and SE Kimball Creek Drive in Snoqualmie.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, a groundbreaking ceremony will be held later in the construction process when it is safe to do so.
Encompass received donations from community members and grants from Boeing, the Medina foundation and the Norcliffe Foundation.
“The generous support from our community has enabled us to build a facility that will help children thrive for generations to come,” said Encompass Executive Director Nela Cumming in a press release.
Construction will begin this summer. The center is expected to be open in August 2021. When opened, the facility will create space for 36 half-day preschool slots and increase the number of children served as well as therapy programs offered.
