NORTH BEND – The bustling haven for motorists traveling Interstate 90 across Snoqualmie Pass, Ken’s Restaurant and Seattle East Truck Town, has been sold to TravelCenters of America. The sale ends more than 60 years of ownership by the Rogers family, longtime Valley residents.
Although the name will change to TravelCenters of America Seattle East, General Manager Brian Rogers said things will remain “status quo” at the facility located off of Exit 34.
“We came to a family decision to sell,” said Rogers. The sale was announced by TravelCenters of America on April 22.
Rogers and his sister, Kimberly Calhoun, will continue to oversee the daily operations of the facility and the about 60 current employees will retain their positions. The duo is the third generation of the family to run the business, which was founded by Ken and Medora (Dori) Rogers in 1941.
