Helping Valley Center Stage is the cause of the night at a benefit evening planned for 6 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at The Nursery at Mount Si.

The event includes food and wine, music and theater, and an auction at the nursery garden. All proceeds go toward the next year of productions at the theater. Auction items include travel, dinner and theater tickets, services, collectible toys and fine art.

Performers at the benefit include singers Susanna Fuller and Judy Ann Moulton, The Cascade Jazz Trio and the Valley Jazz Dolls, among others.

Valley Center Stage, formerly Unity Theater, has produced more than 50 music, improv, comedy and variety shows and 10 full-length plays in the last four years. The theater also offers classes and performance opportunities to encourage local talent.
