Get school supplies, immunizations ready: First day of school in Snoqualmie Valley is Aug. 30

The first day of school for grades 1-12 in Snoqualmie Valley School District is Tuesday, Aug. 30. The first day of morning and all-day Kindergarten is Friday, Sept. 2. The first day of preschool and afternoon Kindergarten is Tuesday, Sept. 6. There is no school on Labor Day, Monday, September 5.

On the first day of school, high school students should come prepared with basic supplies (notebook, paper, pencil, pens, etc.) Teachers may request more specific supplies based on a student’s classes.

By law, students’ immunizations must be up-to-date prior to attending the first day of school. Parents must ensure their student has the required vaccinations (which are updated every year) and learn about recent changes to Washington State law concerning exemptions.
