Mount Si High School will focus on science, technology, engineering and math course offerings and projects at STEMFest, 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, at the high school’s main campus.

The event showcases the school’s expanding STEM-based curriculum, and will give participants a chance to talk with teachers about courses and programs available, and how technology is being used in the classroom. Learn how a STEM-based education helps prepare students for 21st century success in college, careers, and in life. Middle school students are also encouraged to attend.

Speakers include Mount Si Principal John Belcher, discussing the high school’s vision; seniors Princeton See and Sydnee Springer-Simon sharing their high school experiences and their thoughts on the importance of STEM-based classes, and keynote speaker Tyler Menezes, executive director of StudentRND, speaking about the non-traditional path he took to get where he is today.
