As part of its annual “Kids Need School Supplies” drive during the summer months, Hopelink is collecting school supplies to distribute to schoolchildren in low-income families to help ensure they come to school ready to learn.

Families in need of school supplies must be low-income (for a family of four, gross income must not exceed $3,677 per month) and have children entering grades K-12 in the following school districts: Lake Washington, Riverview, Skykomish, Snoqualmie Valley or Sultan.

In Sno-Valley, families can pick up supplies at the Hopelink Center at 31957 E. Commercial St. in Carnation on Thursday, Aug.  21, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. or Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 5-7:30 p.m. Pre-registration is not required.

Since 1971, Hopelink has served homeless and low-income families, children, seniors and people with disabilities in north and east King County.
