A proposed development project along Bendigo Boulevard is scheduled to start this week. The eight-acre site will be cleared and graded in preparation for construction next year. The developer has obtained all local, state and federal permits and can proceed with clearing, grading and drainage system work, but has not submitted an application specifying the intended use of the property.
Possible uses for the property include a hotel, restaurant and retail complex on about four of the acres. The remaining property will be open space.
The project site is the southeast corner of the intersection of Bendigo Boulevard South and South Fork Avenue.
