Pie auction at Sno-Valley center

Over 150 home-baked pies are up for grabs at the 10th annual Sno-Valley Senior Center dinner and pie auction, Saturday, Nov. 8.

The pie auction is a fall tradition that combines great food, good company and the skill of local bakers to help keep the doors open at the center. The event is sponsored by the Snoqualmie Valley Funeral Chapel and a complete dinner is $15 per person. During the meal, diners can bid on a huge variety of pies, auctioned off by George Magnochi, with all proceeds going to support the center. Entrees are steak, salmon or chicken, with a choice of a baked potato, sweet potato or rice pilaf. It also includes a vegetable, and for the auction, the center serves a family style salad at the table. Add a shrimp skewer or a cup of butternut squash soup for $2 each.

The center offers three seatings at 4, 5:30 and 7 p.m. Make a reservation by calling (425) 333-4152. Please be ready to indicate your choice of entrée when making your reservation.
