Center Stage presents Jazz, Dolls
Singer Susanna Fuller and the Valley Dolls, four talented girls including Shaye Hodgins, Danielle Tomlinson, Ashley Whitely and Shannon McEldowney, take the stage with the Cascade Jazz Trio and funnyman host Ed Wynn at a musical revue, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10 at Valley Center Stage.
The Valley Dolls were winners from the Sno-Valley Idol Jr. contests over the last four years, whenCenter Stage Director Gary Schwartz saw them and invited them to perform with the Cascade Jazz Trio.
“They began as an ad-hoc group when Gary invited them to sing with the group” said Cascade Jazz Trio band leader John Chmaj. “And now, after several shows with us, they have really blossomed.”

Registration on for senior exercise
The Mount Si Senor Center, in association with the Snoqualmie Valley Hospital, has offered SAIL, or Stay Active and Independent for Life, exercise classes for older adults three times weekly since June of 2007. Registration is now open for the 2009 SAIL season.
“SAIL is a simple, common sense strength, balance and flexibility exercise program proven to improve fitness and help older adults avoid fall-related injuries,” said Nancy Rickerson, Director of Rehabilitation Services for Snoqualmie Valley Hospital.
Participants in the program have said that some exercise programs have ended up giving them an injury, but the SAIL class was the first one where that hasn’t happened.

Snowshoe day planned at Pass
The 14th annual Winter Trails will give children and adults new to snow sports the chance to try snowshoeing for free at Snoqualmie Pass..
Winter Trails day is 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Mountaineers Snoqualmie campus, located just off the main frontage road near I-90.
Through easy-to-learn activities, participants can have fun and discover the health and fitness benefits of snow sports. Equipment is provided free by venue or product suppliers and will offer educational programs, clinics and guided tours.
To reach the Mountaineers main campus, take I-90 Exit 53 and turn right. Take a left at the ‘T’ intersection and go about 300 yards. Park in the state Department of Transportation lot on the left side of the road, or along the road itself.
