City staff pick up finance awards

Staff at the cities of North Bend and Snoqualmie have been singled out for the Professional Finance Officer Award for 2008 from the Washington Finance Officer’s Association.

From North Bend, Finance Director Elena Montgomery, Assistant Finance Director Stanley Lewis and Assisting Accountant Beth Waltz received the award.

In Snoqualmie, Finance Director Harry Oestreich and Financial Analyst Donya Gregson received recognition.

The annual award recognizes achievements of professional service and ongoing continuing education and training on the part of each individual, and is not automatically awarded.

The Washington Finance Officer’s Association is a professional association of finance officers from towns, cities, counties and other governments in Washington.
