Students named to Central honor roll

Central Washington University named several Valley students to the spring quarter 2008 honor roll. Central undergraduate students who earn a 3.5 or better grade point average, on a 4.0 scale, while carrying at least 12 graded credit hours of study, are eligible for the honor roll.

North Bend: Tennyson Salopek, Darren Macri, Rachel McNaul, Benjamin Kruse, Bethany Jackson, Jason King, Aaron Duncan, Carina Sanchez, Carlyne Kujath, Susan Kelly, Johanna Jackson, Robert Jepson, Josephine Eckhoff, Lynnae McKiernan and Jamie McIntyre.

Fall City: Erin Hart and Steven Burley.

Carnation: Joseph Gebhard, Danielle Decato and Amanda Biggs.

Znak graduates from Army training

Army Reserve Spec. Robert W. Znak has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During nine weeks of training, Znak received training in drill and ceremonies, weapons, map reading, tactics, military courtesy, military justice, physical fitness, first aid, and Army history, core values and traditions. Additional training included development of basic combat skills and battlefield operations and tactics, and experiencing use of various weapons and weapons defenses available to the infantry crewman.

Znak is the son of Earl and Char Znak of Carnation. He graduated in 2001 from Cedarcrest High School and received a bachelor’s degree in 2006 from Western Washington University at Bellingham.

Enfield, Wood receive degrees

Two Snoqualmie students received degrees from Eastern Washington University for the spring 2008 quarter.

Erika Enfield received her doctorate of physical therapy.

Myles Wood received a bachelor of arts degree in business adminstration.

Enfield and Wood were among 2,545 Eastern graduates honored in commencement ceremonies held on June 14.

Eastern Washington University, located in Cheney, is focused on career preparation with a strong underpinning in the liberal arts, offering studies in 200 different fields.
