Fall City student earns scholarship

Western Washington University student Austin Anderson, son of Patrick and Patricia Anderson of Fall City, received a $500 President’s Scholarship for the 2009-2010 academic year.

President’s Scholarships are awarded to approximately the top 8 to 10 percent of incoming freshmen and transfer students, and are based on superior academic achievement.

Anderson, an incoming freshman, earned a 3.61 grade point average at Mount Si High School, and is interested in Western’s Fairhaven College of Interdisciplinary Studies. Anderson was honored as a National Merit Commended Scholar and worked as a pharmacy assistant.

Students make SPU dean’s list

Four Snoqualmie Valley students made the Seattle Pacific University 2008 Autumn Quarter Dean’s List.

Students on the list have completed at least 12 credits and attained a 3.50 or higher grade point average. Founded in 1891, Seattle Pacific University’s comprehensive academic program serves more than 3,800 undergraduate and graduate students.

Students include Marcus W. McMahon, II, Sarah J. Whims and Sarah K. Sproul of Snoqualmie and Ginelle R. Quigley of North Bend.

Little earns spot on Gonzaga list

Katherine A. Little, a senior from Fall City, was among the 962 undergraduate students named to the Gonzaga University President’s List for fall semester of 2008.

Students must earn a 3.7 or better grade-point average to be listed.
