Lindsay Seubert, a language arts and history teacher at Chief Kanim Middle School, is helping set up the first-ever Snoqualmie Valley Kickball Tournament for adults, Saturday, July 12 at the North Bend Athletic Facility.

Co-ed teams of 11 to 15 people are needed to sign up by June 27. Players must be 21 years of age. A $20 fee covers three games, 15 team T-shirts, a treat at the snack tent, a team picture — plus the feeling of helping a good cause.

The tournament lasts all day with a championship game in the evening. Participants can enjoy a barbecue, snacks, and “good-ole elementary school fun.”

The tournament will raise money for a school being built in Uganda by a non-profit group, In the Field Ministries.

“Many of our schools have supported Uganda through fund-raisers and buying school supplies,” said Seubert, who is rallying teams. “Now a group is going bigger and wants to help build a school.”
