Kickoff nears for Relay for Life; Cancer-fighting prep party is Wednesday at Snoqualmie Middle School

Relay For Life of Snoqualmie Valley will officially get underway at a kickoff open house, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Snoqualmie Middle School, launching fundraising efforts for the year. The world’s largest grassroots fundraising movement, Relay For Life mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and provide participants with an opportunity to fight back against the disease.

Relay For Life of Snoqualmie Valley will officially get underway at a kickoff open house, 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, at Snoqualmie Middle School, launching fundraising efforts for the year.

The Relay itself is planned for 2 p.m. to 8 a.m. July 9 and 10 at Snoqualmie’s Centennial Fields Park.

The world’s largest grassroots fundraising movement, Relay For Life mobilizes communities throughout the country to celebrate people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and provide participants with an opportunity to fight back against the disease. Relay brings together friends, families, businesses, hospitals, schools, faith-based groups and people from all walks of life­—all aimed at furthering the American Cancer Society’s vision of creating a world with less cancer and more birthdays.
