Last weekend was a big one for the Salish Lodge, which welcomed high-profile guests including King Abdullah II of Jordan and singers Vince Gill and Amy Grant.
Abdullah stayed in Snoqualmie the night of Saturday, July 12 while on a leisure trip that included an afternoon motorcycle ride to Carnation. Snoqualmie Police helped Secret Service agents set up a ride route to Carnation and back, and three local police officers stood by overnight at the Lodge, said police spokeswoman Becky Munson.
Gill and Grant were in the area for the Washingon Wines Festival at Camp Korey, where they gave a concert to benefit the camp for seriously ill children.
