May 19-25 is National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, which was designated in recognition of firefighters, EMS personnel, hospital and other health-care professionals.

As part of this special week, Snoqualmie Valley residents are urged by local agencies to learn how they can help during an emergency. Citizens make the first and greatest difference in providing patient care by recognizing when someone needs medical care and calling 911 to activate additional resources. King County Fire District No. 27, serving the Fall City area, offers CPR and first-aid classes for residents in the community.
