Two teams of University of Washington students invite Snoqualmie residents to help envision the parks and trails future for the community at a meeting, 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Snoqualmie Fire Station. Citizens of all ages are welcome and encouraged to attend.
The senior-year students are interested in gaining experience in project management, site evaluation, public participation, planning, and design by working with community members and city government to develop conceptual plans and recommendations for a potential Downtown Commons Park and a citywide pedestrian/bicycle trail plan.
The students refer to the workshop as a “design charette,” a meeting format that invites citizens to participate in the generation of planning and design ideas.
