At approximately 7:10 p.m. May 12, the King County Sheriff’s Office’s (KCSO) dispatch center received a 911 call regarding a male suffering a gunshot wound.

The individual was located east of North Bend, near exit 38 on I-90, in the SE Homestead Valley Road area, wrote King County Sherrif’s Office Public Information Officer Deputy Mike Mellis.

KCSO Deputies, local fire and medical personnel responded to the scene, treated the victim and transported him via a medic unit to Harborview Medical Center for further evaluation.

The victim’s current medical condition is not available, Mellis wrote.

KCSO Deputies are in the early stages of the investigation to confirm the origin of the gunfire.
