Melissa Johnson to run for Snoqualmie Valley Schools Director District 1

Snoqualmie Valley resident Melissa Johnson today announced her candidacy for Snoqualmie Valley School Board. Johnson plans to run for the District 1 Director seat.

“Although we have made great strides with our schools over the last few years, we deserve a district that consistently inspires our students to reach higher goals. We have a great opportunity to increase student success by reinforcing a culture of encouragement, supporting our valued educators, and working collaboratively with parents, students and schools, all while remaining fiscally responsible,” Johnson said.

She and her family have lived in Snoqualmie for 15 years. She holds an MBA and bachelor’s degree, and has been an employee of Weyerhaeuser for more than 22 years in a variety of positions, ranging from scientist to leading cross-functional teams.
