Police and fire agencies in the Snoqualmie Valley responded to the following:

Saturday, Aug. 14
Missing: At 1:30 p.m., a father reported that his 14-year-old daughter had run away from home. The girl is a chronic runaway. She told her father she was going to her friend’s house and would be back in 15 minutes. She never returned and the friend said she never saw her. The last time she ran away, she was found in Lakewood in July. She was last seen wearing a black tank top and black pants and was carrying a pink checkered bag.
Death: At 7 a.m., an officer responded to a death investigation. Upon arrival, North Bend Fire Lt. Butler advised the officer that the victim appeared to have passed away in his sleep during the night. Crews did not attempt CPR when they arrived. The officer contacted the victim’s girlfriend of three years, who said the man had a medical history of esophageal spasm problems. The victim had complained about chest pain the night before when they returned from the Snoqualmie Valley Casino. They went to bed and the girlfriend didn’t notice anything was wrong until about 6:30 a.m., when she felt the victim go cold, motionless and unresponsive. North Bend Fire Crew responded but the victim was pronounced dead at 6:44 a.m.
Thursday, Aug. 12
Vandalism:At 11:46 a.m., a man reported vandalism to his vehicle to police. The victim told the officer that he left his vehicle near the 12400 block of the Ribary Road. He later discovered someone had thrown a large rock and broke his rear windshield. He had no idea who did it.

Monday, Aug. 16
Fall: At 7:35 p.m., EMTs responded to the 4300 block of 334th Place Southeast for an 89-year-old woman who was hurt in a fall. Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) evaluated her and helped bandage her injuries. She was released at the scene.
Sunday, Aug. 15
Missing men: At 10:33 p.m., Fall City Fire Department and Eastside Fire and Rescue responded to 30700 block of Tolt Hill Road for reports of two men in their 20 who were missing while rafting on the river. Firefighters were able to work together and search the shoreline of the river. The men were found uninjured, were evaluated and transported to the location of the rest of their friends.
Saturday, Aug. 14
Faintness: At 5:18 p.m., Fall City Fire Department and Bellevue Paramedics responded to the 36700 block of Southeast David Powell Road for a 76-year-old woman who was experiencing a syncopal episode (temporary loss of consciousness). EMTs quickly began treating the patient and rendezvoused with nearby with paramedics. Bellevue Paramedics then transported the patient to Overlake Hospital for further treatment and evaluation.
Friday, Aug. 13
Dizziness: At 8:30 a.m., Fall City Fire Department and Bellevue Paramedics responded to the 4500 block of 330th Place Southeast for a 74-year-old woman who was feeling dizzy and nauseous after standing up. EMTs and paramedics evaluated and began treating the patient on scene. Fall City Fire Department then transported her to Overlake Hospital for further evaluation.
Faintness: At 12:39 p.m., EMTs responded to the 29100 block of Southeast Duthie Hill Road for a 71-year-old man who experienced a syncopal episode. EMTs evaluated, and began treating the patient on scene. A private ambulance then transported him to Swedish Hospital Medical Center for further evaluation.
Intoxicated man: At 3:37 p.m., EMTs responded to the 5300 block of 372nd Avenue Southeast for a 25-year-old man who was lying unresponsive in the bushes along the side of the road. EMTs evaluated and began treating him at the scene. The man appeared to be intoxicated and was released to go home under a friends care.
Fall from a horse: At 6:57 p.m., EMTs responded to the 36600 block of Southeast 27th Street for a 20-year-old woman who fell four feet from a horse, striking her tailbone on the pavement. EMTs began treating the patient on scene, and a private ambulance transported her to Overlake Hospital for further evaluation.
Thursday, Aug. 12
Fall: At 4:29 p.m., Fall City Fire Department, Eastside Fire and Rescue, and Bellevue Paramedics responded to the 5300 block of 347th Place Southeast for a 54-year-old woman who fell down the stairs, and was experiencing shoulder and neck. EMTs evaluated, and began treating the patient on scene. A private ambulance then transported him to Swedish Hospital for further evaluation.
Illegal burn: At 9:02 p.m., Fall City Fire Department responded to the 5300 block of 372nd Avenue Southeast for reports of an illegal burn. Upon arrival, firefighters found and extinguished a four-foot bon fire. A notice of violation form was left due to a current burn ban in effect, no valid permit on site, burning after daylight hours, and the fire creating a smoke or fly ash nuisance.

Wednesday, Aug. 18
Bad medicine: At 11:17 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Pickering Court for a 7-year-old boy who accidentally ingested some over-the-counter medication. Poison Control was called; they advised the amount wasn’t enough to cause a problem. The boy was left at home with his mother.
Monday, Aug. 16
School alarm: At 2:46 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to Cascade View Elementary for an alarm sounding. The alarm was set off by a malfunctioning heat detector. A technician was called to fix the system.
Friday, Aug. 13
Chest pain: At 10:35 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs and Bellevue paramedics were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Casino for a 60-year-old woman experiencing chest pain. She was evaluated and refused transport to the hospital.
