Three years in the making, Tolt Middle School’s new athletic fields are opening season by season to each sport beginning last fall for football games.

“The contract was well performed and executed, and we got an outstanding set of playfields,” said Bill Adamo, director of business and operations for Riverview School District.

The $1 million project includes a set of playfields, synthetic track, a new football field, soccer fields, track and field facilities, bleachers and irrigation on all fields.

“The school loves the fields and they’re phenomenal,” Adamo said.

Riverview School District passed a bond to finance the project in 2007. It went out for bid in the spring of 2008.
