Snoqualmie Police Responses
Wednesday, Nov. 17
Night recycling – At 8:18 p.m., a resident in the 8400 block of Maple Ave. SE, called police to report that a man had just knocked on his door and asked whether he had any scrap metal. The man said he was out of work, and was looking for scrap metal to recycle. The caller said he was driving a blue Ford pickup truck. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
Saturday, Nov. 20
Railroad crossing – At 12:54 p.m., a citizen contacted police about faulty railroad crossing gate arms at Railroad Avenue and King Street. The citizen said a loose wire was causing the problem. Police contacted the city’s public works department to schedule repairs.
Monday, Nov. 22
Playing in the snow – At 3:57 p.m., police received a report that four juveniles were snowboarding in the vicinity of SE Jacobia and the Snoqualmie Parkway, and digging up signposts. Police contacted the youth, who were just sledding. There was no property damage.
Gas leak – At 6:20 a.m., the Snoqualmie Fire Department contacted police for help evacuating the houses near City Hall. A gas leak had been detected.
North Bend police responses
Friday, Nov. 19
Assault – At 8:15 p.m., police responded to a security issue in the 37500 block of SE North Bend Way. A man had reportedly become upset when a security officer asked to see identification for the man’s girlfriend. He shoved the officer several times before he was subdued. Police arrested him on charges of assault, fourth degree.
Saturday, Nov. 20
Multiple infractions – At 1:05 a.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic infraction in the 400 block of Bendigo Blvd. The vehicle occupants had several more infractions coming, since the officer discovered a marijuana pipe, an outstanding arrest warrant for one of the occupants, and an under-age occupant was in possession of a controlled substance.
Monday, Nov. 22
Under the influence – At 12:37 a.m., an officer was bringing a person into the police department. The suspected had been picked up in the area of SE North Bend Way and NW 8th Street, for speeding and, upon further investigation, driving under the influence. While in the station, the subject became combative. Police subdued the suspect with a stun gun and booked him into the King County Jail.
Stolen car – At around 7:40 p.m., a woman called police to report that her vehicle had been stolen from a parking lot in the 100 block of Main Street. She said she’d stepped out of work briefly to start the vehicle and came back inside to let it warm up before leaving. The vehicle was gone when she went back outside.

Wednesday, Nov. 24
Smoky smell: At 1:46 a.m., firefighters responded to complaint about a smell of smoke in the residence. They detected a slight odor of smoke, but could not detect any carbon monoxide.
Broken pipe: At 4:02 p.m., firefighters responded to a broken water pipe. They assisted the occupants with shutting down the water system, and advised them to summon a technician.
Tuesday, Nov. 23
Sparking wires: At 5:04 p.m., firefighters responded to wires arcing over the roadway. Once on the scene, they found no fire. Puget Sound Energy was notified of the problem.
Illness: At 9:33 p.m., firefighters responded to help a 40-year-old woman who was feeling ill. She was given an exam, and left on scene in the care of a friend.
Friday, Nov. 19
Illegal burn? At 3:11 p.m., firefighters responded to a burn complaint. No occupant or owner was found, so the fire was extinguished.

Wednesday, Nov. 24
Pneumonia: At 4:14 a.m., Snoqualmie emergency medical technicians (EMTs) responded to Southeast Andrews Lane for a 15-year-old girl with complications from pneumonia. She was evaluated and taken by her mother later in the day to her personal physician for evaluation.
Tuesday, Nov. 23
Sled accident: At 2:26 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Southeast Osprey Court for a 7-year-old child with a head laceration from a sledding accident. The girl was evaluated, and transported to a hospital by her father for stitches.
Choking child: At 7:14 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Weiting Avenue Southeast for a 1-year-old child who was choking. EMTs arrived to find the object had cleared itself and the child
was doing fine.
Monday, Nov. 22
Gas leak at city hall: At 5:57 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to the Snoqualmie City Hall building for a gas leak. The gas main was shut off and the building was ventilated to remove gas smell.
Alarm: At noon, Snoqualmie firefighters responded to the Snoqualmie Dry Cleaners for a fire alarm.
Sunday, Nov. 21
Medical call: At 11:21 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs and Bellevue Paramedics were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Ridge area for a medical call. One patient was treated and then transported to a hospital by Bellevue paramedics.
Saturday, Nov. 20
Fire alarm: At 10:23 a.m., Snoqualmie firefighters were dispatched to the Snoqualmie Ridge area for an automatic fire alarm. It turned out to be a false alarm, and the system was reset.
Minor accident: At 4:58 p.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to Snoqualmie Parkway and Southeast 99th Street for a one-car motor vehicle accident. One patient had minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to the hospital.
Friday, Nov. 19
Blood sugar: At 4:40 a.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded with Paramedics to Southeast Park Street for a 44-year-old man with low blood sugar. His blood sugar was brought up to an
appropriate level, and he was then left at home.
Thursday, Nov. 18
Fall: At 9:20 a.m., Snoqualmie EMTs responded to River Street and Silva Avenue for an 86-year old woman who had fallen. She was uninjured and left at the scene with friends.
Alarm: At 1:04 p.m., Snoqualmie firefighters responded to Bracken Place Southeast for an automatic fire alarm. It was set off by an electrician on site, and was reset.
