For the second year in a row, law enforcement agencies in Washington are cracking down on distracted drivers.

Through April 15, enforcement efforts will target motorists who are seen talking on handheld cell phones and sending text messages.

The slogan of the national campaign is “U Drive. U Text. U Pay.”

These and all extra patrols are part of Target Zero—striving to end traffic deaths and serious injuries in Washington by 2030. Additional information on the Washington Traffic Safety Commission is on the website, www.wtsc.wa.gov.
