Nobody hurt, but Snoqualmie home burns in fireworks accident

An early evening fire damaged a home in the 6600 block of Fairway Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, on Friday, July 4. No one was injured in the fire, which seemed to have started on the roof of the home. At 5:19 p.m., the Snoqualmie Fire Department was dispatched to the Snoqualmie Ridge fire. They arrived on scene at 5:27 p.m., and were assisted by Eastside Fire & Rescue units from North Bend and Fall City, and Bellevue paramedics.

An early evening fire damaged a home in the 6600 block of Fairway Avenue Southeast, Snoqualmie, on Friday, July 4. No one was injured in the fire, which seemed to have started on the roof of the home.

At 5:19 p.m., the Snoqualmie Fire Department was dispatched to the Snoqualmie Ridge fire. They arrived on scene at 5:27 p.m., and were assisted by Eastside Fire & Rescue units from North Bend and Fall City, and Bellevue paramedics.

Snoqualmie Mayor Matt Larson issued a statement July 7, informing city residents of the incident, and assuring them that public safety is the city’s top priority.

Preliminary information from the King County Fire Investigator suggested the fire was accidental, and caused by fireworks. A final report is expected later this week.
