A former Hells Angel from North Bend was sentenced last week in U.S. District Court to 15 years in prison for racketeering-related crimes.

Joshua Binder, 32, was convicted by a federal court jury June 11 of racketeering, conspiracy and interfering with commerce by threats or violence.

However, the jury was unable to reach a verdict on charges related to the 2001 shooting death of Michael Walsh, who was killed because he falsely claimed to be a Hells Angels member.

Rather than face a retrial, Binder admitted involvement in two acts of racketeering.
