The North Bend Train depot in Taylor Park in North Bend is getting a replacment for its 35-year-old roof, after the city recieved $150,000 in grant funds from the state Department of Commerce.
Improvments at the depot include: removing the existing concrete tile roof, replacing underlayment and facia as necessary, replacing some select beams, installing new gutters and downspouts, and installing a new standing seam metal roof.
“The Train Depot and Taylor Park are an integral part of our downtown and part of what makes it so unique,” North Bend Mayor Rob McFarland said in a press release. “This rehab project is a positive step toward achieving our goal in creating an ideal downtown location for spacious, safe gatherings.”
