The Northwest Railway Museum will kick-off its 2022 season beginning on March 5.
This includes opening the Train Shed Exhibit Hall from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Fridays through Mondays. The hall includes locomotives, passenger cars, freight cars and maintenance equipment on display along with exhibits about the role and impact of railways in Northwest development.
90 minute Train rides through the upper Snoqualmie Valley will also return every Saturday and Sunday, beginning March 5. Passengers can choose to depart from either the Snoqualmie Depot or the North Bend Depot. In 2019, the museum carried over 27,000 passengers in its trains, executive director Richard Anderson said.
New this season, the museum will offer the Toddler Train, geared to families with preschool age children. The free event time will be offered on the first and third Wednesday of each month from March 16 to May 18 at 11 a.m. These programs will include: 1-2 railroad themed stories and a hands-on activity for families to enjoy for a fun railroad themed experience
The museum also announced that this year’s Snoqualmie Railroad Days festival will return Aug. 20 and 21.
