DUI: At 10:59 p.m., an officer pulled over the driver of a swerving red 1993 Nissan Pathfinder at Snoqualmie Parkway Southeast and Southeast Center Street. The driver said he’d been at a party for his girlfriend at a pub on Snoqualmie Ridge. He stumbled through sobriety tests, and a records check revealed that his license was suspended for unpaid traffic tickets. There was also an outstanding warrant for his arrest out of King County for driving with a suspended license. He was arrested and booked into Issaquah City Jail.

Monday, May 26

DUI and false statement: At 11:23 p.m., an officer pulled over the driver of a speeding, swerving blue 1999 GMC with Nevada plates at Railroad Avenue and 69th Street. The driver gave the officer a Mexico ID card with a name that fingerprint checks proved to be false. There was a half-empty bottle of beer in his center console, and he almost fell during sobriety tests. While giving a breath sample, he said he’d had eight or nine beers. He was arrested and booked into Issaquah City Jail.

Sunday, May 25

Suspended license: At 2:08 a.m., an officer pulled over the driver of a speeding green 1995 Volkswagen on Snoqualmie Parkway Southeast at Jacobia Street. The driver did not have insurance, and a records check revealed that her driver’s license was suspended and she had a misdemeanor warrant out of Tukwila. She was released to Tukwila police.

Suspended license: At 9:18 p.m., an officer pulled over the driver of a speeding red 1993 Chevy pickup on Snoqualmie Parkway Southeast at Southeast 96th Street. The driver said he had not had insurance in over a year, and a radio check revealed that his driver’s license was suspended. He was arrested and released to his girlfriend.

Saturday, May 24

DUI: At 1:13 a.m., an officer pulled over the driver of a 2005 gray Nissan who had failed to dim his high beam lights while passing the officer near the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Fir Street. The 27-year-old driver, who said he’d just left a wedding reception, had an opened can of beer in the center console. His 6-year-old son was asleep on the rear bench seat with no child restraining device. The driver stumbled through sobriety tests, and said he’d smoked a bowl of marijuana and drunk several beers. Police found a pipe with a half-smoked bowl of marijuana in his car. The man was arrested and booked into Issaquah City Jail.

Old dog: At 2:38 a.m., a caller reported that a dog appeared to have been hit by a car on Park Avenue Southeast at Shusman Avenue Southeast. An officer found an uninjured elderly dog lying on the sidewalk, and called its owner.

Assault: At 6:32 p.m., deputies responded to a report that one roommate had hit another with a door at the home they share on Southeast 136th Street.

Friday, June 6

Assault: At 4:45 p.m., a woman reported that her boyfriend had pushed her from a parked vehicle in the parking lot of their apartment building on East North Bend Way.

Thursday, June 5

Stolen truck recovery: At 7 a.m., deputies were called to the side of the roadway on the 45100 block of Southeast Edgewick Road to recover a Dodge Ram pickup that had been stolen from Ellensburg.

Court order violation: At 6:40 p.m., a victim reported that someone was at her home on Northeast Fourth Street in violation of a no-contact court order.

Lawn vandalism: At 10:03 a.m., deputies responded to a report that drivers of a Ford Bronco drove onto the front and side yards of a home on 378th Avenue Southeast.

Monday, June 2

Illegal dumping: At 5:06 p.m., deputies were alerted to illegal dumping of yard waste on Southeast Fifth Street.

Friday, May 30

Theft: At 12:20 a.m., two juveniles tried to steal beer from a convenience store on East North Bend Way, but dropped it when a clerk chased them. The pair fled into a waiting blue Chevy truck.

Thursday, May 29

Fight starter: At 1:24 a.m., a drunk and high man who tried to start fights at a tavern on West North Bend Way was arrested.

Influence of alcohol: At 7:40 p.m., the aid unit responded to the 33300 block of Southeast 43rd Street for a 43-year-old man who was reported to be under the influence of alcohol. After being evaluated at the scene, he was left in the care of residents.
