Candy shooting: Around 7:35 p.m., a suspect used a slingshot to fire Jawbreaker candies at vehicles driving on 428th Ave Southeast.

Thursday, April 10

Stealing booze: At 8:25 p.m., deputies received a report of a minor attempting to shoplift alcohol from QFC.

Tuesday, April 8

Vehicle recovery: At 7:49 a.m., Snoqualmie Police located a stripped-out Honda on the shoulder of the 1000 block of Winery Road. The car had been stolen from downtown Seattle.

Stolen purse: At 4:15 p.m., a woman reported her purse had been stolen from her shopping cart at QFC.

Cheap fraud: At 9:53 a.m., a woman reported a fraudulent $9 charge on her Visa, which she had lost at Key Arena.

Graffiti: At 9:39 a.m., the owner of Bella Vita Salon and Spa reported that someone had written “SNOOP OMC” in black marker on the back door to her business, and “OMC” in black and yellow marker on the power box. The department had no suspects.

Sunday, April 6

DUI: Just before 2 a.m., an officer started following a speeding blue Chevy with a missing headlight. The driver didn’t stay in his lane, and the officer pulled him over at the intersection of Snoqualmie Parkway Southeast and Orchard Drive Southeast. The 23-year-old driver, whose face was flushed and eyes watery, couldn’t provide proof of insurance or vehicle registration. He admitted to drinking one beer, then said he’d had two. After failing sobriety tests, the man told the officer he’d had three beers and knew he “could probably go to jail.” And he did; the officer transported him to Issaquah City Jail.

Saturday, April 5

Marijuana possession: At 5 p.m., an officer pulled over a woman whose tan 1993 Honda Accord had a large crack in the windshield and was missing a front license plate at Snoqualmie Parkway at Swenson Drive. The driver said she did not have identification, proof of registration or insurance, and was arrested for driving without a license. While searching her, the officer discovered a plastic baggie containing marijuana, which the woman said she had found on the ground and put in her pocket without checking to see what was inside. She was photographed and fingerprinted at Snoqualmie Police Department and released.

Suspended license: At 11:55 p.m., an officer pulled over a speeding vehicle with a broken headlight on Highway 18 at Southeast 104th Street. The driver said he did not have proof of insurance and was driving on a suspended license from a ticket he hadn’t paid. The man was arrested and released to a friend who came to pick him up.

Tuesday, April 1

Graffiti: At 10:25 a.m., an officer on patrol discovered graffiti, including a bat in front of a moon, a devil’s head, and a happy face, on the back of the Puget Sound Energy building. Clean-up was expected to cost $50.

Intoxication: At 9:55 a.m., a caller reported seeing someone stumbling and falling down at Southeast King Street.
