Police investigate armed robbery on Snoqualmie Ridge

The Snoqualmie Police are working with other law enforcement agencies in the area to investigate a pair of armed robberies, the department said in a statement Tuesday, Jan. 24.

On Monday morning, Snoqualmie officers responded to an armed robbery at the Chevron Gas Station on Snoqualmie Ridge.

Officers reported that surveillance video showed a man enter the gas station with a semi-automatic handgun and fire a single shot into the ceiling as he approached the register. After taking cash, the man fled in a Toyota Camry, police said. No injuries were reported.

Early Tuesday morning, that same Toyota Camry was involved in a rollover accident on I-405 near Tukwila, police said. After the crash, the driver allegedly committed an armed carjacking of a red Lexus, police said, and committed another armed robbery in Seattle.

The crashed Camry was brought to the Snoqualmie Police for evidence and fingerprint processing.
