REF awards record $69,000 to RSD schools

The Riverview Education Foundation (REF) recently awarded 39 grants to the Riverview School District, totaling nearly $55,000 and bringing the combined grants over the past year to $69,169, the most money ever awarded by the foundation in a fiscal year.

The Riverview Education Foundation (REF) recently awarded 39 grants to the Riverview School District, totaling nearly $55,000 and bringing the combined grants over the past year to $69,169, the most money ever awarded by the foundation in a fiscal year.

Foundation grants fund an  assortment of programs to enhance educational opportunities for students. Some of the latest grants were for new and supplemental PE equipment at Cedarcrest; computer tablets for special education and classroom use; band instruments and uniforms for middle and high school programs; and interactive assessment tools for Tolt Middle School.
