Saturday, July 18, is the last day for mail in and online voter registrations and transfers for the August primary.

New Washington voters have until August 10 to register to vote in person at the Elections office.

“Now that King County votes entirely by mail, it is more important than ever for voters to keep their addresses up-to-date with the Elections office,” said King County Elections Director Sherril Huff. “We want to make sure that each voter receives their ballot with plenty of time to enable them to cast an educated vote.”

Huff explained the primary reason some voters may not receive their ballot in time to vote is because they’ve moved and haven’t updated their address.

Who can vote?

To be eligible to vote in the King County primary, you must be:

• Eighteen years old by August 18;

• A United States citizen;

• A resident of King County; and

• Not presently denied your voting rights due to a felony conviction.
