Drivers planning trips over Snoqualmie Pass this week need to plan for added travel due to single lane closures and nightly rock blasting closures.
The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close Interstate 90 for rock blasting at 8 p.m. each night for about an hour Monday, July 28 through Thursday, July 31. Westbound traffic will be stopped at Gold Creek (milepost 56) and eastbound traffic will be stopped at Price Creek (milepost 61).
Intermittent rolling slowdowns are planned Monday through Friday during day about four miles east of the Snoqualmie Pass Summit (milepost 56) around Keechelus Lake (milepost 61).
Daytime and nighttime lane closures in both directions could cause delays for drivers between Denny Creek (milepost 47) and the Price Creek vicinity (milepost 62 to 65) Monday through Friday. Intermittent ramp closures at the Cabin Creek and Stampede Pass interchanges will occur nightly from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday.
