The Snoqualmie Police Department will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, at the Snoqualmie Fire Department, 37600 SE Snoqualmie Parkway.
There will be a free and anonymous drive-thru drop-off in the parking lot. Take this opportunity to safely dispose of unwanted and unused prescription and over-the-counter drugs. The disposal of these drugs is free and anonymous.
Studies show that the majority of teens who abuse prescription drugs obtain them from family and friends for free, including from the home medicine cabinet. Many Americans do not know the safest way to dispose of their unwanted or expired medicine, often causing safety and environmental hazards by flushing them down the toilet or throwing them in the garbage.
