Shots fired near I-90/ SR 18 interchange, no injuries

The left lane of eastbound I-90, near the SR-18 interchange, is closed after shots were fired into the road’s median, according to Trooper Rick Johnson, a spokesperson with the Washington State Patrol.

No one was hurt and the suspect was apprehended and taken into custody, Johnson said in a Tweet.

The driver was reported to be driving erratically past mile-point 22, near Preston, before exiting his Dodge Challenger with a handgun and shotgun near the I-90/SR 18 interchange and firing shots.

It is unknown how long the highway will be blocked.
