Shots fired, young and drunk, ‘body’ found: Snoqualmie Valley police, fire reports

On Monday, July 30, a caller in the 35000 block of Southeast Rhododendron Drive in Snoqualmie reported hearing two shots fired in the area. Officers responded within minutes, but could not determine where the shots came from.

Thursday, Aug. 2

Road blocked: At 6:59 a.m., police were called to provide traffic routing at the intersection of Southeast Snoqualmie Parkway and Railroad Avenue Southeast. A logging truck was disabled and had blocked the intersection until a tow truck arrived.

Shots fired: At 4:10 a.m., a caller in the 35000 block of Southeast Rhododendron Drive reported hearing two shots fired in the area. Officers responded within minutes, but could not determine where the shots came from.

Got to go: At 2:43 a.m., an officer on patrol saw a subject leave a business in the 7700 block of Center Boulevard Southeast and walk behind the building, where he urinated in front of the officer. The subject was given a warning.

Body found: At 1:56 a.m., a Maple Valley woman contacted police because she thought she’d found a body wrapped in a tarp in the 7800 block of Center Boulevard Southeast. The responding officer spoke with a homeless subject who’d been sleeping. He was waiting for a ride in the morning.

Selective thief: At 12:15 p.m. an officer met with a homeowner who reported a theft. The victim said he’d left the garage door open to his home, in the 7200 block of Curtis Drive Southeast, some time between Saturday evening, July 21, and 9 a.m. that morning, and someone had stolen his bicycle, which police valued at $900. He also said the thief had left behind a $2,000 bicycle and some SCUBA gear.

Thursday, Aug. 2

Identity theft: At 10:15 a.m., an identity theft victim in the 500 block of Thrasher Avenue Northeast reported that she’d received a collection notice for a credit card she didn’t know about. Someone had used her identity to gain a fraudulent credit card with Household Bank.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

Young and drunk: At 6:40 p.m., deputies responded to a report of a disturbance, caused by drunken juveniles, at North Bend Elementary School.

Outstanding warrant: At 2:50 p.m., deputies spotted a known suspect on the road at Ballarat and East Third Street, and arrested the person for a misdemeanor warrant. The previous night at 11:32 p.m., deputies also arrested a felony warrant subject, spotted in the parking lot of a business in the 500 block of Southwest Mount Si Boulevard, on a felony warrant.

Tuesday, July 31

Wanted wood-cutter: At 7:32 p.m., a caller told police about a suspicious person at a construction site at Southeast 129 Street and 424 Avenue Southeast. The subject was cutting wood. Police responded, identified the person as a wanted felon, and made the arrest.

Car prowl and fraud: At 9:30 a.m., a caller in the 1100 block of Rachor Place Northeast reported that someone stole several items from her car the previous night, including a debit card that was used to incur $400 in charges at businesses in Kent. She didn’t know how the thief entered her vehicle, which was undamaged.

Recovered property: At 3:06 p.m., police were notified by Snohomish County police told local officers that they had recovered several items stolen from a property in the 31700 block of West Commercial Street. The two agencies are communicating on the case.

Wednesday, Aug. 1

Minibikes: At 1:09 a.m., a caller in the 4100 block of Regal Street complained about two juveniles going through the neighborhood on motorized bikes. The caller said they had also gone through his front yard. Police found tire tracks in the grass, but no damage to the lawn, and no offenders.

Threats: At 11:14 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of threats in the 4500 block of Milwaukee Avenue. They made contact with a landlord, who’d been having a dispute with a former tenant.

Tuesday, July 31

Pain: At 4:57 p.m., emergency medical technicians (EMTs) responded to a 24-year-old man who was experiencing pain. He was examined and transported to an area hospital by private ambulance.

Monday, July 30

Faintness: At 8:59 p.m., the fire station was greeted by a 61-year-old man who had fainted. He was evaluated and transported to an area hospital by aid car.

Pain: At 7:41 p.m., EMTs responded to help a 43-year-old woman who was experiencing debilitating pain. She was evaluated and transported to an area hospital by aid car to receive further care.

Bike accident: At 3:28 p.m., EMTs from both Fall City and Eastside Fire and Rescue responded to the Duthie Hill Bike Park for a 28-year-old man who was involved in a bicycle accident.  After evaluating the patient for the injuries he sustained after crashing his bicycle, he was transported to an area hospital by aid car.

Medical issue: At 9:57 a.m., EMTs and Bellevue Paramedics evaluated a 62-year-old woman experiencing discomfort. After evaluating her heart rhythm, it was determined she needed a paramedic transport to an area hospital.

Sunday, July 29

Choking: At 7:54 p.m., EMTs responded with Bellevue Paramedics for a 49-year-old man who was choking. After the first unit’s arrival, the paramedics were cancelled and the patient remained at home.

Bad burn: At 1:44 p.m., firefighters responded for a burn complaint. The reporting party reported that someone was burning brush during a burn ban.  The engine arrived on scene and extinguished the fire.

Motorcycle accident: At 9:37 a.m., EMTs from Fall City and Snoqualmie responded for a motorcycle versus vehicle accident.  After arriving on scene, it was deemed one patient was injured and was transported via aid car to an area hospital.

Friday, July 27

Car accident: At 3:40 a.m., firefighters from Fall City and Eastside Fire and Rescue responded for a reported single vehicle accident. On arrival, they found a wrecked vehicle, but no patients around. After searching the surrounding area, the patients apparently fled the scene. The scene was left in the hands of Washington State Patrol.

Thursday, July 26

Stranded: At 3:50 a.m., firefighters from Fall City and Snoqualmie responded to the Snoqualmie River for a report of two patients stranded on a log yelling for help. Upon arrival and size up of the scene, a Good Samaritan in a jet boat assisted with removal of the patients and bringing the back to the shore.  Both patients refused further treatment and were released.
