The Friends of the Snoqualmie Library’s silent book auction started up on Monday, Nov. 30. High-quality special interest and literary books will be displayed in the library meeting room with bids accepted through Saturday, Dec. 5.

The books will be of gift-giving quality and perfect for special collections or home display. Many are ideal for children or teens.

“Most of these books are indistinguishable from a new book purchased at a bookstore,” said auction coordinator Arlyn Kerr. “Stop by and do some holiday shopping or treat yourself to a treasure.”

Proceeds from the book auction will be used by the Friends of the Snoqualmie Library to support special programs for children, teens and adults, including the Summer Reading Program, teen art workshops and clubs, music and dance performances, lectures and book discussions, and more.

Have you ever wondered about the books displayed in the Snoqualmie Library hallway? Those books have been donated to the Friends of the Snoqualmie Library for year-round fundraising sales. The prices are low, so check out the selection — from children’s books to fiction to self-help and more. At this time, the used-book inventory is very low. You can bring your gently-used books of any genre to a Snoqualmie librarian to support library programs.

Members of the Friends of the Snoqualmie Library are always looking for ways to help the librarians expand the programming.
