Six Chambers of Commerce will hold a joint networking breakfast in March

Chambers from Mercer Island, Issaquah, Sammamish, Snoqualmie, Newcastle and Bellevue will meet in March for the breakfast.

A local networking event for chambers of commerce has grown by one.

Chambers of Commerce from Mercer Island, Issaquah, Sammamish, Snoqualmie, Newcastle and Bellevue are holding a networking breakfast in March for members of the business community.

The breakfast will be hosted from 7:30-9 a.m. on Friday, March 6, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Issaquah (1800 NW Gilman Blvd.).

Laurie Givan, executive director at the Chamber of Commerce, said in an email that the event will be the first to expand to include Bellevue.

“We have brought them (the Bellevue Chamber) into this group where before it was Sammamish, Issaquah, Newcastle, Snoqualmie, and Mercer Island only,” Givan said. “We are excited to expand the group and provide access to more businesses in our region.”

City documents describe The events are held once a quarter, typically on the first Friday of the month.

“(These breakfasts) are an important part of our programming because they provide an opportunity for our members to meet, connect with and possibly earn business from other business people from chambers around our King County community,” Givan said.

The event is for chamber members only and is $25 in advance, with RSVPs required by March 2.
