The Snoqualmie Falls Golf Course in Fall City celebrated its first day with all 18 holes open for play, this Friday, April 3.
The course has been all but closed since November 11, the date of the first big flood.
“We are all excited to be opening and can’t wait to see as many golfers as possible,” owner John Groshell said. “We will welcome them all with open arms and big smiles.”
Groshell, who has been at the course since 1972, said he has been through many floods in the Valley, but has never seen a winter like this.
After the November flood, it took weeks to reopen at the course, which is located at 35109 S.E. Fish Hatchery Road, about a mile east of Fall City off Highway 202.
Then the snow came, and soon after, the Jan. 7 flood.
Recovery efforts took months. Snoqualmie Falls opened nine holes on March 14.
The course plans to offer friendly “post flood” rates for play, Groshell said.
