Lieutenant Jacob Fouts of the Snoqualmie Fire Department has received the official designation of Fire Officer from the Commission on Professional Credentialing (CPC).
Fouts’ designation makes him one of nine in Washington State with that title and one of 356 worldwide.
The CPC awards the fire officer designation based on education, experience, professional development, technical competencies, professional contributions and community involvement.
Fouts, who has worked in the fire service industry for 18 years, was hired by the city of Snoqualmie in 2009 and promoted to fire lieutenant in 2014.
Currently he is the shift supervisor, prevention and education coordinator and accreditation manager.
