DUI: At 2:41 a.m., a Snoqualmie officer noticed a black Jeep traveling west on Railroad Avenue pull erratically into a parking lot and park diagonally in a parallel parking spot. Walking to the driver’s window, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcoholic beverages. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and the vehicle was released to her friend in the passenger seat.
Sunday, Oct. 25
MIP: At 2:44 a.m., a Snoqualmie officer patroling west on Railroad Avenue approaching Delta Street noticed a black 2002 Subaru traveling more than a foot over the painted line. Pulling over the vehicle at Bendigo Boulevard and Third Street, the officer asked the 20-year-old woman at the wheel for her license, insurance and registration. The officer smelled an odor of alcoholic beverages in the vehicle and asked the driver if she had been drinking. She said she had not. The officer then asked if there were persons in the vehicle who had been drinking and she said there was. The driver was asked to perform a voluntary field sobriety test and passed. However, she registered when she was giving a breath sample. The driver was then arrested for minor consumption of alcohol. The vehicle was impounded and the driver walked two blocks home.
Wednesday, Oct. 28
Bayonet: At 11:40 p.m., a Snoqualmie officer saw two men sitting on picnic tables under the covered area at Riverview Park, which closes at dusk. He observed the two passing what appeared to be a small pipe back and forth. The officer contacted both subjects and advised them they were under arrest for criminal trespass in the second degree. Searching them both, the officer found a military bayonet attatched to one man’s belt, underneath his coat. He said he had it because a friend was recently jumped by an assailant at the Snoqualmie Falls park. Another officer arrived, and learned that court documents showed the male was recently arrested for a domestic violence court order violation; one of his restrictions was possessing weapons. The smoking device was determined to contain tobacco. The man with weapon was booked at Issaquah City Jail while the other man received a criminal citation and was released from the scene.
