Snoqualmie soccer coach arrested over alleged communication with minor

Detectives believe there could be more victims in the ongoing investigation.

The Snoqualmie Police Department arrested Cascade FC soccer coach Joshua Lewis on Sept. 19 for allegedly “communicating with a minor for immoral purposes via electronic device.” He was transported to the King County Jail, where he is being held without bail pending his first court appearance.

“We are aware that one of our coaches was arrested during a scheduled practice last night,” wrote Sophie Harris, the director of operations for the Snoqualmie Valley Youth Soccer Association. “The coach has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.”

Lewis was arrested at Snoqualmie’s Jeanne Hansen Park at 5:20 p.m. It came hours after the mother of a 15-year-old contacted the department to report that her daughter “may have been receiving inappropriate Snapchat messages from her former coach,” according to the department’s press release.

An investigation into the allegations was launched immediately, resulting in the arrest of the 28-year-old coach.

Detectives believe there could be more victims in the ongoing investigation. Those who think they may have had inappropriate contact with Lewis should contact the police at 425-888-3333.
