Snoqualmie to discuss utility rate increases Thursday; Public hearing to be held Feb. 13

The city of Snoqualmie will hold a public hearing on possible utility rate increases on Monday, Feb. 13 at Snoqualmie City Hall.

The city has determined that rate increases will be needed to keep up the water, sewer and stormwater systems after a comprehensive utility rate study was completed. The increase would improve infrastructure and help maintain facilities.

The city will present the findings of the study to residents and businesses at two meetings Thursday, Feb. 2, both at Snoqualmie City Hall. The meetings are scheduled for 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. Commercial rates and connection charges will be discussed during the afternoon meeting, residential rates and connections charges will be discussed in the evening.

Following the Feb. 13 public hearing, the Snoqualmie City Council will consider the ordinance for adoption at its Feb. 27 meeting.
