The Snoqualmie and Sammamish agricultural valleys embrace their respective communities in a myriad of ways, including the support of small farms, local agriculture and the universal fair food movement.
The Slow Food Snoqualmie Valley Chapter is hosting a “valleys-wide” community celebration, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, July 19, at 21 Acres Farm, located at 13701 N.E. 171st Street, near Woodinville. Residents, neighbors and friends in both Valleys are encouraged to attend a community potluck and take part in the common language of food.
The Slow Food Snoqualmie Valley Chapter, also called a ‘Convivium,’ was founded in 2008 by a handful of farmers, chefs, restaurant owners, and inspired citizens who believe that the local food community must be good, clean and fair.
To RSVP for the event, contact Convivium leader Elizabeth Walker at info@slowfoodsnovalley.org or (425) 844-9038. Visit www.slowfoodsnovalley.org for more information.
