The St. Patty’s Day 5K foot race is set for Saturday, March 12, on Snoqualmie Ridge. The course for the 5K covers streets and bike trails on the ridge, and is open to all ages. For children, there’s also a non-competitive 1K race to try.
On race day, the kids start running at 9 a.m. and the adults start at 9:15. Winners will receive nearly $1,000 in prizes, including a build-your-own-sundae party from Mix it Up! Ice Creamery for the younger age groups. The top three finishers in each age group will receive trophies in a post-race ceremony sponsored by Finaghty’s Irish pub. Post-race entertainment includes Irish food and music from Finaghty’s.
To register or for more information, visit www.runsnoqualmie.com and follow the links. Cost is $10 for the 1K or $25 for the 5K, plus sign-up fees. All those who pre-register will also receive a race shirt.
Registration ends March 6, but there will be a special late registration and early racer packet pickup Friday, March 11, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Issaquah Footzone.
