Thursday, July 18
Throwing rocks: At 4:36 a.m., police received a complaint about four men in the 3800 block of Southeast Cedar Street. They were causing a disturbance, yelling and throwing rocks at vehicles. An officer contacted one of the men, who ran away.
Monday, July 15
Falling down lost: At 10:26 p.m., a caller contacted police with concerns about a drunk man witnessed falling down in the yards of houses in the 3300 block of Southeast Srouf Street. Police contacted the man, who said he was visiting family, but couldn’t find their house.
Saturday, July 13
No license, no interlock: At 12:35 p.m., an officer patrolling Railroad Avenue Southeast checked the plate of a vehicle, and found the registered owner had a suspended license. The officer confirmed the owner was driving through additional records checks, and stopped the vehicle in the 8800 block of Meadowbrook Way Southeast. The driver’s license was suspended because of unpaid parking tickets, he didn’t have a court-ordered ignition interlock device in the vehicle, and he had another warrant for DUI in Pierce County. He was arrested and his passenger, who also didn’t have a license, walked home.
Friday, July 12
Sticky car: At 12 p.m., a resident called police about vandalism done to her car, where it had been parked overnight in the 8700 block of Swenson Drive Southeast. Someone had sprayed the vehicle with a sticky liquid, which the victim noticed that morning while walking her dog. She had no idea who would have done it.

Tuesday, July 16
Sniper: At 11:21 a.m., a restaurant manager in the 700 block of Southwest Mount Si Boulevard called police with concerns about an employee she had just fired. The employee, fired for not coming to work over the weekend, had claimed on his resume that he was a sniper. The manager felt threatened and asked to have the former employee removed from the business.
Friday, July 12
Vandalism: At 2:02 p.m., a business owner in the 100 block of West North Bend Way contacted police about some vandalism that had occurred at her business. Someone had cut a three-foot section from a garden hose, stole the attached watering wand, and removed three inserted signs from a larger sign. Later in the week, the victim discovered they had also stolen a large flowerpot. The incident occurred between 8 and 9 a.m.
Party line: At 3:51 p.m., a resident of the 1500 block of Southwest 15th Place reported online that someone had used his name, address and Social Security number to open a new Verizon wireless phone account. The account had five phone lines connected with it, and had been opened at an Apple store on June 28.
Suspicious circumstances: At 12:20 a.m., police contacted a known burglar, seen in the Depot Park in the 200 block of East McClellan Street after dark. He had two bicycles with him.
