Summer Freedom, the free bus trip program for school-age youth in the Valley has become an annual tradition for Snoqualmie Valley Transportation. It’s back and now underway right now, helping families to get their summer schedules organized and get everyone to where they need to be.

From June 1 to Aug. 31, people aged 18 or younger can ride the little white buses anywhere in the SVT service area at no cost. They can bring their bicycles too, as all buses are equipped with bike racks. Children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.

Free orientation is also available to help youth, and riders of all ages, who may not be familiar with the Snoqualmie Valley Transportation system.

“Summer Freedom will help families with their transportation needs and get the next generation familiar with using public transportation,” says SVT Director Amy Biggs. “We want to get people where they need to go, and we think this is a great way to do it while helping a lot of parents.”

The program covers all current Monday-through-Friday SVT routes: regular routes such as the Valley Shuttle, between North Bend and Duvall; circulator routes such as the North Bend-Snoqualmie Shuttle, a route connecting downtown North Bend with Historic Snoqualmie and the Ridge; and Door-to-Door, the call-in-advance service throughout Snoqualmie Valley.
