Snoqualmie Ridge Business Park has a new, tech-oriented tenant.

Rudolph Technologies, Inc., has leased some 27,000 square feet of space in the Kendall Lake Building, and plans to move its operations — making high-performance controls used in semiconductor manufacturing — from Issaquah to Snoqualmie.

“We decided to move to Snoqualmie for several reasons,” said Don Blem, Rudolph Technologies’ vice president of operations. Blem named significantly lower rent, plus the business park’s location and amenities, as factors.

Opus Northwest began construction on the 57,000-square-foot Kendall Lake Building last year, with no signed tenants.

However, Mike Ruhl, Opus’ vice president of real estate, said the company knew the time was right for an alternative for companies seeking space on the Eastside.

Another company, Technical Glass Products, is relocating from Kirkland to the Ridge business park, where Opus is building a new facility for the glass company. Technical Glass is expected to move this fall.
