Valley Center Stage has showings of ‘It’s a Wonderful Life,’ ‘A Christmas Carol’

The North Bend community theater group has two holiday performances this month

Brighten your holiday spirits and get caught up in the magic of your favorite Christmas stories brought to life at Valley Center Stage this month.

Our production of It’s a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play is based on the classic holiday movie with a clever twist thrown in: the story is staged as a live radio broadcast!

Join us for this warm tribute to the days when families gathered around their radios for entertainment and a wonderful peek behind the scenes at what broadcasting to a live radio audience might have looked like in the 1940s. Our actors play multiple roles and create their own sound effects onstage for this incredibly creative portrayal of an American classic Christmas tale.

The show is adapted by Joe Landry and directed by Ed Benson and Melissa Carter. Performances are every Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and every Sunday at 2 p.m. until Dec. 17.

A Christmas Carol

A Christmas double-header is also running throughout the month of December. This year, VCS is presenting ‘A Christmas Carol’ as a staged-reading – a brand new twist on our traditional holiday production. As our holiday gift for your support this year, we are leaving the price of admission up to you. (We only ask for a donation in the amount of your choosing).

Performances run on weekends starting Dec. 9, with a final showing on Friday, Dec. 22. For a full schedule and tickets, visit valleycenterstage.org.
